Nevermind Victorious

What a dreadful night! I seemed hardly to sleep ─ it was awful. Once I rose to use the toilet and checked the time at coming back to bed, finding it to be sometime after 4 a.m. My cellphone alarm was set for 6 a.m. because I wanted to hobble the slow half-mile to the nearest Shoppers Drug Mart that opens at 8 a.m. One of the items I badly wanted was a 2026 wall calendar.

But would I hold up and go?

In my favour was that at different times overnight, I was sure that I could hear it raining. If such continued for my hobble, then it would be most encouraging.

Well, I did hold up. And it was raining fairly seriously, to boot!

I had to visit the Vancity ATM directly across from Shopper's Drug Mart in order to withdraw $200, for I only had $25 in my wallet.

Unfortunately, I was to discover that as yet a shipment of wall calendars had yet to arrive, so the pharmacy had none at all. This was disappointing.

Regardless, I was back home (having hobbled back in a fair downpour) before anyone else was yet up. Notwithstanding, that was not to last until just ahead of 9 a.m. when my younger brother emerged from his bedroom for the morning.

It must have been approaching 9:20 a.m. before I joined him for some morning T.V., and he was quick to invite me to begin operation of our Android TV Box.

First off was a 21-minute (21:39) video uploaded earlier this morning to YouTube's AnitaK channel: Do Not Trust This CBS Apology.

In a candid two-minute video, the CBS veteran acknowledged media missteps on stories like Russiagate, COVID lockdowns, and Hunter Biden's laptop that favored elites over everyday viewers. He vowed transparent reporting—sharing what he knows, when he knows it, and correcting errors openly, amid Gallup polls showing just 28% trust in news.

I was resolved that we would be spending the remainder of our morning watching a nearly two-hour (1:55:55) video streamed December 30 (2025) to Rumble's PeopleForPeople2022 channel: DR.RIMA E. LAIBOW (MD) TRUTH REPORTS TUESDAY 11 PM UK - 3 PM PACIFIC - 5 PM CENTRAL - 6 PM EASTERN.

Rima E. Laibow, M.D. is Medical Director of the Natural Solutions Foundation. She is a graduate of Albert Einstein College of Medicine (1970) who believes passionately in the right of Americans to choose their own health paths. She has practiced drug-free, natural medicine for 50 years by seeking the underlying cause of every illness and ailment and treating that root cause.

But after several minutes of the three folks on the ZOOM (or whatever) call just 𝓈𝒽ℴℴ𝓉𝒾𝓃' 𝓉𝒽ℯ 𝓈𝒽𝒾𝓉 and not getting right into the purpose of the video, I felt aligned with my grumbling brother and tuned out.

By this time my wife had risen to shower, apparently scheduled with a full workday at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time.

She left while my brother and I were watching Shetland ─ episode five ("Blue Lightning – Part 1") of season or series two.

The final video we watched was one I had downloaded. It was 22 minutes (22:51) and had been uploaded April 24, 2023, to YouTube's GS97 TREND channel: 30 Dogs Trying to Save You Being Swallowed by a Python, What Will Happen Next? | Wild Animals.

A lot of the animal clashes were certainly interesting, but the wretched A.I. narration put me off so severely that I do not intend to ever watch a video from the channel again.

My brother returned to his bedroom for more bed rest after that last video. I gathered together what was going to be my supper after 5 p.m. ─ just the one meal today.

I did not think that I would manage a light exercise session in the latter afternoon in my wife's vacant bedroom due to how hungry and listless I felt, but at 3:15 p.m. I decided to go for it, and got 'er done.

A naked weigh-in immediately afterwards scaled out at around 181 pounds ─ the extra few pounds are remaining put, it seems.

Right now at 6:20 p.m., I am going to take a blogging break to watch a couple or so shows here on my bedside computer because I have not had a drink of alcohol today, but I am feeling a little anxiety and thus in the need.

I will finish up this post later in the evening.

After my supper, I chose to watch 2019's Christmas Sweethearts ─ also known as My Best Friend's Christmas. My source was this m.OK.ru link, but there were others I could have tried.

Only one name in the cast seemed familiar: Trevor Eve. If it was the same guy, I wondered if I would recognize him, for I only know of him from the 1979/1980 T.V. series Shoestring.

Well, if I did not know to expect him, I would never in my life have recognized that it was he portraying the lead actress's father. There was nothing similar to the handsome young "Eddie Shoestring" character.

But I would likely not be recognized by anyone who knew me back in 1979/1980 either when I was 29 and turning 30.

Lead actress Breanne Hill was unknown to me, but certainly beautiful. She reminded me somewhat of Minka Kelly ─ even her voice was almost as soft and gentle.

The movie was nice to watch, but not quite my kind of Christmas movie. It never really affected me emotionally, good though I thought it to be.

One other thing I do not care for are Christmas movies that only play original Christmas music I've never heard of and do not care if I ever hear again.

As a result of having eaten beforehand, I was able to make one can of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol) do me ─ quite a feat for a 1½-hour period of time.

I suppose that the movie finished barely ahead of 8:30 p.m., by which time my brother had already gotten home earlier.

I watched one further show that ended just ahead of 9:50 p.m. It was The 100 ─ episode seven ("Nevermind") of season six. My source was this uFLIX.to link. That ended with more of an emotional excitement burst than anything I got out of the Christmas movie.

This time my can of Cariboo Malt was 8%. It's from a newer brewage batch than the 7.9% product.

But it was not sufficient, so I poured myself a big shot of Lamb's Dark Navy Rum and tuned in the teen sitcom Victorious ─ the pilot episode one of the first season. My source was uploaded August 27, 2013, to YouTube's Mdeu channel: Victorious S01E01-Pilot FULL EPISODE.

I was not keen on its opening, and I hope it was not the rum thereafter, but I started to love the episode! And Ariana Grande is the Cat Valentine character? I never suspected anything of the sort. I only thought that she was cute and seemed to have unshowcased great legs.

I wanted to try the series because an actress I am interested in was featured at some point in the series, But now I cannot remember who it was. I hope I notice her when her time comes. I'll keep following the series.

The show ended around 11 p.m., and my wife got home a few minutes later.

Right now it is 11:39 p.m. and I am getting to bed with my cellphone alarm set for 6 a.m. Believe it or not, my wife has spoken nothing to me anytime she has passed my open bedroom doorway. And thus it shall remain after I shut my bedroom door and get to my own bed.
