Even though my bedtime last night was a little past midnight, the latter few hours of my night were marked with excessive wakefulness and I was not at all happy to have to be getting up when my 6 a.m. cellphone alarm sounded.
But it served its purpose and I was later able to have some tool shed exercising and be back into the house just a few minutes past 8 a.m.
I was my usual stiffened self out there, and the heavy frost had naught to do with it. My two sets of pull-ups and then two sets of chin-ups had the same numbers ─ two repetitions in the first set of each, and then just one repetition in each of the second sets. The pull-ups between the child's slide ladder were a single repetition in both of those two sets, but I did hold the dead hang of the final pull-up for a 50 count.
Then it was time spent on the squatting portion of the session, seeking to rebuild my lower quadriceps and knee use.
My younger brother never emerged from his bedroom until after I had finished my day's first meal here at my bedside computer, for I ate immediately after my exercising.
When I joined him for some morning T.V. shortly past 9 a.m., he was quick to turn the T.V. over to me so that I could operate our old T95X Android 9 TV Box.
The first video I tuned in was listed as being 1⅓ hours (1:21:48) and had been streamed yesterday to Rumble's Russell Brand channel: Trump Confronts the Davos Consensus as the Old Order Fractures — SF672.
I see now that the final better-than-15-minutes are not publicly available (paid subscribers only), but this morning I merely thought that the video ended with abruptness and thought nothing more of it.
For that reason, nevertheless, I am going to strike the channel off my viewing list.
I next tuned in a short (2:45) video uploaded to YouTube's Tajana Cekic channel: My favourite time of the year, the Davos millionaires kicking off their annual hypocrisy campaign.
After that I tuned in the final 20 minutes or so of the video we had broken from yesterday so my brother could return to his bedroom for further bed rest. At 1⅕ hours (1:12:42), it had been uploaded November 12, 2024, to YouTube's Thrilling True Stories channel: Cornelius Vanderbilt: The First American Tycoon.
I do not feel like reproducing the video description, so refer to the link if the topic is of interest.
Next up was Coupling ─ episode four ("Remember This") of season or series three. I had the episode already downloaded from this Archive.org link ─ all episodes are available there.
We finished up with practically the first half hour of a 1979 movie, but had to postpone watching more in order for my brother to get further bed rest.
My nap was not as thorough as I would have expected for having been abed for over 1½ hours. I think I rose around 1:40 p.m. My brother was downstairs watching some T.V. with Bev, but I soon enough heard him leave her to catch a bus and go social drinking.
After mid-afternoon I was to have a light exercise session in my wife's vacant bedroom. Then after working further on blogging, I finally got around to responding to cousin Doug's January 7 email to me.
That sucked up some time, and has left my 'texting thumbs' ─ the joints ─ abused.
I had my second meal of the day in the early evening. And now at 7:16 p.m. I am going to take an extended break from this post so I can watch a couple of shows and have as many cans of Cariboo Malt (8% alcohol).
🟦🟦🟦
First up was to be the Norwegian series Heimebane (Home Ground) ─ episode six ("Reservelaget") of the second season. Evidently the episode title translates as "The reserve team" in English. My source for the episode was this Vexmovies.biz.id link.
I enjoy this series strongly, and have little problem having to read English subtitles to fathom what is being spoken. Nevertheless, this episode ended disappointingly, for young character "Camilla" made the worst possible choice in having her baby aborted.
The show finished a little ahead of 8:20 p.m., and my brother had gotten back home at some point earlier.
I grew very groggy by the time Heimebane was done ─ that hit me when I was between shows.
My second show was FBI: International ─ episode 13 ("You've Been Greenlit") of season four. This time my source was a TVSeries.video link.
The show was darned good. Unfortunately neither it nor Heimebane hit me emotionally.
Due to how ridiculously tired I had become, I decided to spend the 15-or-so minutes brushing my teeth whilst lying across my bed in the darkened bedroom, assessing if I should watch anything further or just call it a night. At least four times I blacked out just enough to realize that I had at some recent point stopped brushing and was just lying there immobilely, quite zoned out.
Yet ─ job done ─ I felt able for a sitcom and a good shot of Lamb's Dark Navy Rum (40% alcohol).
The sitcom was to be Kitchen Confidential ─ episode four ("French Fight") of the only season. My source was yet another TVSeries.video link.
Lord, supporting actress Bonnie Somerville was irresistibly devastating in this episode!
It doth seem that for a change I am going to be getting to bed well ahead of midnight ─ in fact, about an hour better than I have managed the past few consecutive nights. Sure, I might sleep ill and find myself awake long prior to my 6 a.m. cellphone alarm setting, but maybe that will be incentive to get me out for a bit of a local stroll if not too near to 6 a.m.
Alas, I view that as unlikely. Right now it is 11:03 p.m. and I am going to commence shutting down my browsers and their tabs, anything else I have open, and then my computer itself.
Back tomorrow, I expect!
