Not for Sale

When my 6 a.m. alarm chimed, I could barely get myself from bed ─ I craved more sleep. Usually getting to bed ahead of midnight is sufficient, but it was not the case last night. And I never even rose overnight to use the toilet ─ it was all bed time.

Once more, it was nigh 8 a.m. before I went out to the backyard tool shed for some exercise. A mere single pull-up and chin-up in all six sets, with a closing dead hang for a 50-count.

And then I tackled the squat-style exercises to help regain normal use of my right knee again, if this is even possible. I discovered today that in doing a partial one-legged assisted squat with my right leg that I hold for a 50-count ─ I do four sets of these ─ I could support myself exclusively on the leg for several seconds at a time.

When I originally began doing these, I was having to use my hands consistently for support ─ it was unthinkable to even slightly ease up as I firmly gripped the rungs of the dual hanging ladder apparatus that I stand between for this exercise. And as well, I used to slowly start to sink as my lower quadriceps muscles progressively failed.

So there is small progress.

Later in the house, I was tardy getting ready for some morning T.V., and thus my younger brother was to gain possession of it even though he never emerged from his bedroom until a little past 9 a.m.

I didn't join him until nearly 9:20 a.m.

Our old T95X [it is actually T95Q] Android 9 TV Box is breaking down badly now. We're lucky to get 10 uninterrupted minutes before it either freezes or shuts off. An email that I got at 1:29 a.m. overnight still claims that I can expect delivery of the new Android 13 TV Box (that I ordered late Tuesday evening from Amazon Canada) by Saturday, so I hope our old one lasts that long.

As for what we were to watch this morning, the first video was only four minutes (4:08) and had been uploaded yesterday to YouTube's AnitaK channel: Please don't drive over ICE.

The title is referencing the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent who fatally shot a woman [Renee Nicole Macklin Good] in her car in Minneapolis yesterday. She wasn't even an immigrant ─ she was American-born and White. As far as I am concerned, the I.C.E. agent is in for a world of hurt that he well deserves.

We gave up after less than 10 minutes on the second video I tuned in, but we stuck with the third try that I selected. The third had been published yesterday to Rumble's Tucker Carlson channel, and was nearly 1¾ hours (1:42:39): Megyn Kelly on Venezuela, Ben Shapiro’s Treachery, and Mark Levin’s Mental Illness.

Unfortunately, Tucker editorialized for about 40 damned minutes before he brought on his wonderful guest. I didn't tune in the show just to listen to him. We almost tuned out.

What a beautiful woman Megyn is! Two of her three kids are apparently teenagers. Absolutely none of my friends as a teen ever had a mum who looked even remotely attractive to me, so whatever Megyn is doing to keep herself so gobsmackingly awesome is paying off in spades.

When the video completed, my brother returned to his bedroom for more rest. I had eaten before he emerged from his bedroom this morning, so I got back to my bed for a needed nap around 12:30 p.m. and napped deeply ─ I was down for about 1½ hours, and was not at all keen on not remaining in bed.

But the longer I spend in bed in the afternoon, the less time I leave myself for everything else I feel I must do before watching some shows here on my bedside computer and having some drinks.

I got in some light exercising in my absent wife's bedroom beginning around 3:10 p.m., and this included further of those quadriceps strength-building exercises.

Right now it is 5:05 p.m. and I am going to break to have some supper, and then I will commence watching the shows and having some drinks, as just said above.

I will finish this past in the latter evening.

🔴🔴🔴

I think that I am going to try and rise at 3 a.m. for an outing, so I decided not to watch either of the two final Christmas movies on my list. Instead I selected Heimebane (Home Ground) ─ episode five ("Ikkje til sals") of season two.

Supposedly the episode title translates from Norwegian as "Not for sale" in English.

The episode was a complete downer all the way through, but I still held to one can of beer. My supper helped with that, being a soup or stew my brother and Bev prepared with what remained of that large honking ham they had cooked the evening of New Year's Day.

Anyway, my source for the episode was this Vexmovies.biz.id link.

It finished just past 7 p.m., and as yet my brother was not back from wherever he had bused in the first half of the afternoon to social drink.

My second show (and beer) was FBI: International ─ episode 12 ("Blood Doesn't Become Water") of season four. My source was this uFLIX.to link.

This episode was powerful! Guest actress Veronica St. Clair as FBI Agent Quinn seemed familiar to me, but I cannot see why from her acting credits. She must resemble someone else.

I suppose the episode ended at or barely past 8 p.m., by which time my brother was downstairs watching T.V. with Bev.

I finished up with nigh eight ounces of Mission Ridge Premium Red Wine (13% alcohol) and the sitcom Entourage ─ the premiere episode bearing the series title. My source was this Tvids.net link.

I am only watching the series because Gal Gadot is supposed to make an appearance at some point, but I do not like any of the five main male characters ─ they disgust me.

I noticed in the closing credits of the episode that Arielle Kebbel was somewhere in the guest stars, but I sure never recognized whatever her bit part was. I expect that she was too young to be familiar without knowing she was in the episode ─ which was my case.

That wine added onto the two strong beers has me nicely buzzed ─ I am tempted to continue.

But I shall not. At present it is  10:12 p.m. and I am going to start shutting down whatever it is that I have left undone that is still going on here on my computer.
