And my shame resurges into 2026 ─ I am too feeble to defy the addiction.
I was still so engaged with it when I heard my wife come into the house at 1:22 a.m., by which time everyone else had gone to bed. She seemed not long in following suit in her own bedroom. I cannot recall when at last I was freed to do the same.
My morning commenced shortly after 8 a.m. ─ maybe 8:18 a.m.? Whatever the case, I expected to find my younger brother was already watching T.V. downstairs, but I was to discover that he had yet to rise.
After 9 a.m. had arrived and my brother had still not emerged from his bedroom, I assumed control of the T.V. downstairs, using our Android TV Box to line up our first video. At 19 minutes (19:39), the video had been uploaded yesterday to YouTube's AnitaK channel: Maduro, Why He Had to Go + Canada's Toothless Response.
In this video, I break down Venezuela’s political crisis — from Hugo Chávez to Nicolás Maduro, how Maduro consolidated power, and why Venezuelan elections are widely questioned by the international community.
The next video was 1⅓ hours (1:20:57), and had been streamed December 30 to Rumble's Kim Iversen channel: A Woman Describes Seeing Her Child On A UFO During Encounter.
The Kim Iversen Show LIVE | December 30, 2025 Maria Cuccia is the author of His Name is Elijah (November 2025), a memoir exploring family, resilience, and experiences that challenge our understanding of reality. In 1992, Maria was awakened at 3:00 am by a presence that transported her from her bedroom to what appeared to be a spacecraft, where non-human beings showed her a group of children—including a boy they said was her son, Elijah. The experience left her with emotions she struggled to explain. Visit Maria's Website: https://mariacuccia.com/ Buy her book His Name is Elijah: https://www.amazon.es/-/en/MARIA-CUCCIA/dp/B0G16GD4TS
We only got into the 43rd minute of the video because by that point our Android TV Box had either frozen up or else shut down five or six times. So when I brought it back to life the last time, I decided to leave the Rumble app and try watching something I had previously downloaded onto a flash or thumb drive.
The problem persisted a couple of more times at least, but we got nearly an hour into the movie I had downloaded when my brother announced his desire to return to his bedroom for further bed rest, so he wanted me to save the movie for when next we had morning T.V. together.
Obviously something is wrong with the Android TV Box ... but it is quite old. Is it now failing? I ran the CCleaner app just in case that might possibly help ─ we shall see tomorrow whether today's issue ensues despite the clean.
My wife had a full workday scheduled at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time, so she emerged from her bedroom a little past 9:30 a.m. to shower, and was on her rather long and sunny drive about a half hour afterwards.
I had a filling first meal of my day after my brother returned to his bedroom, and I did not seek my own nap until well past 1 p.m.
I needed it.
I have been feeling too down today to care to push myself to have any exercise ─ my heart for it is gone. I feel disgusted with myself. I did do some abdominal work in my wife's vacant bedroom, however.
This is a bath day, and right now it is 5:08 p.m. so I am going to break from work on this post and deal with the long chore baths entail for me. I feel like getting drunk instead, though.
I will return in the latter evening to complete this post. By then I will have watched a couple of shows here on my bedside computer and had some drink.

I discovered my brother to have arrived back home during my bath, after having bused away in the early afternoon to social drink.
My supper ─ my second meal of today ─ was composed of just a small mandarin orange, a large banana, and a small apple. I felt I deserved nothing more due to my inactivity, and my reprehensible behaviour last night.
And so I tuned in Prime Suspect ─ episode nine ("Gone to Pieces") of the only season. My source was this uFLIX.to link.
This series keeps improving with each episode! What a shame that it never caught enough viewing attention.
One can of Cariboo Malt (8% alcohol) kept me company.
Nurturing the notion of getting up at 3 a.m. for an outing to the elementary school playground for some exercise, I decided I likely only had time for one further show.
'Twas Madam Secretary ─ episode four ("Just Another Normal Day") of season one. My source was another u.FLIX.to link.
It was good, although I did not appreciate the essential whitewashing of what China is truly like. But at least it was excuse for a second can of beer.
I'd love to take quick hit of a shot of rum, but I can't afford to be so frivolous with something I cannot easily replace ─ I am hurting badly financially.
Right now it is 9: 45 p.m. and I am going to brush my teeth, and then start wrapping up whatever needs finalizing here on my computer.
I wish God cared enough to realistically help. He never has.
