The events in Ottawa today that saw the enormous convergence of various policing units to confront the Freedom Convoy 2022 truckers and their supporters, and which apparently led to the dismantling of the truckers' occupation with numerous arrests and personal property destruction has me feeling almost ill.
I am deeply ashamed of law enforcement ─ they are comprised of weak cowards, the majority of whom will do absolutely anything their overlords command of them.
"I'm just following orders."
As for Crime Minister Unjust Turdo, he is the most blatant and cowardly tyrant ever to find himself in federal 'power'. That despicable, vile wretch must be brought to utter ruin ─ he should not only be tried for his capital crimes, but he should be denied even the tiniest benefit normally bestowed to a political leader. He gave no years of service ─ naught but disservice and ruin.
For that, he should know nothing but financial ruin ─ if he even ever gets out of prison for the atrocities he is responsible for.
There are still supporters of the routed truckers who are trying to hold strong in Ottawa. My hope is that what has happened today will fire a revolutionary spirit far beyond that which initially roused the truckers ─ I pray that massive hordes of Canadians will descend upon Ottawa and 'hold the line' until the Liberals are disbanded as a political party if they do not denounce and toss out Unjust Turdo.
I wish that I had no familial responsibilities here where I live in deep debt near Vancouver ─ I would myself see about getting to Ottawa, never to leave until we either have full freedom again, or until I was dead. But there is not much that a 72-year-old non-driver with great family responsibilities and the aforesaid debt can do.
I am presently useless, and have been for quite a few years. But at least if I had no wife and stepsons, I would also have no debt; and I would be free to go and end my days standing for and fighting for a free Canada in very distant Ottawa.
I do not wish to spend much time with this post ─ I want to watch Ottawa livestreams on YouTube and immerse myself in the scene there just as it is at this present time following the hideous events of the afternoon.
My wife had to work a full day today at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time; so, with her 11 a.m. start, she left here on her fairly long drive in the vicinity of 10:30 a.m. At that time, my younger brother and I were watching YouTube Ottawa livestreams of the police threat buildup.
VIDSTORM proved to be the best means for that. My brother wanted me to try Viva Frei, but I had already earlier heard Viva Frei declare in his livestream that he was not going to go anywhere that would put him in jeopardy, so all he was doing was walking around in quiet areas opining. I had also tried Rebel News; although they had a livestream happening, the police confrontation was secondary and silent as deference was given to a pair of the musing Rebel News talking heads.
I was not interested in commentary by people remote from the action ─ I wanted to witness and hear the live confrontation, and also hear what courageous livestreamers on the spot were saying.
So before I close shop and go downstairs to watch livestreams from Ottawa on T.V. via the apps downloaded into our Android TV Box, I want to mention that a smartphone gimbal that I had ordered online from London Drugs showed up two days ago. It will be a birthday present for my wife ─ her Big Day is just four away.
I sacrificed to make the gimbal order and thus of necessity skimped on Valentine's Day. Even so, here are a couple of photos that I took last Sunday evening of the little carton or box of three tropical plants that were collectively to be her token Valentine's Day gift:
I am able to recognize a jade and an aloe, but I would have to research to know for certain what the third plant is that has the budding mauve blooms.
The gimbal is still in the unopened shipping box, so I cannot offer any photos of it ─ a DJI OM 4 SE Handheld Smartphone Gimbal. The full price with taxation was $116.86.
The plants, incidentally, cost under $4.
I also took a couple of photos of what I believe is a clump of mini irises that began blooming a few days ago just outside our front door ─ I think that they are around four inches tall:
I had something else to say, but it has now slipped recollection.
