Instead of watching any Freedom Convoy 2022 related videos early last evening, I opted to tune in a Christmas movie and enjoy the effects of some rum. My choice of movie was 2012's A Golden Christmas 3 (apparently also titled as Home for Christmas).
I enjoyed it ─ I love romantic Christmas movies. I had already seen the two predecessor movies (A Golden Christmas and 3 Holiday Tails ─ which was also apparently titled as A Golden Christmas 2: The Second Tail), and was favourable about both of them, so this seemed required viewing.
The lead actress's name (Shantel VanSanten) was not familiar to me, but I certainly recognized her soon enough ─ I also recognized and love the occasional distinctive 'squeak' in her voice.
I also failed to recognize the name of child actress Alexandra Peters, but she was certainly a familiar face. Wikipedia says that she and her character featured in the previous movie in this trilogy, but I cannot recall her role any longer.
That cute girl today is 22 years old, and a most attractive young woman!
We were all kids at some point, and then we 'grew up' ─ some considerably better than others.
After my younger brother got home later that evening, I tuned in another movie ─ the 2018 feature Replicas.
I had deliberately read as little about it as possible, so I had no idea until it began that the lead actor was Keanu Reeves. The movie was definitely interesting enough, and certainly exciting as well as provocative ─ after all, who among us would not wish to bring back to life a newly deceased loved one?
In the case of Keanu Reeves' character, he had lost his wife and all three of his children. His prime dilemma was that he would only be able to bring back three of those four family members ─ so, how on Earth to choose?
I was unhappy at the movie's finish ─ I wanted the main villain to be permanently dead. No one as murderous as that prick deserved to live a life filled with wealth.
By the way, Keanu's TV wife was portrayed by gorgeous actress Alice Eve.
But enough about movies.
My wife arrived home during the latter evening yesterday, yet even though my brother and I were up watching T.V. till nigh 1:30 a.m., I did not hand over her birthday gift ─ the smartphone gimbal I have for her. Today is her birthday.
She had to work a full day today (with an 11 a.m. start), so there was no time for her to open the package this morning before she left for work. Thus, as yet she still does not know what I have for her.
I doubt that she will be able to employ the device without the assistance from either of her sons in getting it set up, for I expect that some app is likely necessary; and I think that it will even be necessary to register online for use of the app.
And then there is the learning curve in using the device itself ─ my Thai wife is not all that versatile with understanding printed English, so any guide would likely need to be dealt with by one of her two sons.
She posted this ad to her Facebook account this afternoon ─ she tries to earn a little extra income as an agent for Thailand's The iCon Group and some of its health-related products:
Oh gosh! It's already into my evening, and I still have to exercise, as well as make a phone call that is going to require a conversation I would prefer not to be taking the time to have ─ I always seem to have so damned little free time.
As a result of those two commitments, I have to call it quits for this post ─ I have no time to say more.
