My younger brother and I have been watching a lot of the curated Ottawa livestreams that are the hallmark of YouTube's VIDSTORM. This morning I tuned various livestreams around 8 a.m., and I didn't abandon my attendance until approximately 1 p.m. when I sought a nap.
My brother had sought some rest just prior to that, and he was gone for the afternoon when I emerged from my computer / bed room.
And now in my latter afternoon, I am again watching livestreams because there are still lots happening in Ottawa. Or I should say that I am mostly listening to the livestreams, taking a peek whenever it sounds like something especially interesting is taking place.
The police presence is still there, and threatening.
I want to watch these events on T.V. via our Android TV Box, so I am going to keep this post short.
My wife had worked the full day yesterday at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time, and she sensibly came home a little after the mid-evening. She didn't have to work today, so she never emerged from what has come to be her bedroom until into the noon hour.
Around 4 p.m. she left us for the remainder of the weekend, for she tends to spend the bulk of her weekends somewhere in Vancouver. As she was leaving, and after I cautioned her to "be good" (i.e., don't be getting drunk and throwing away our mortgage money), she asked me not to buy her anything for her birthday.
Well, she is too late ─ I already have a smartphone gimbal for her and her coming Tuesday birthday.
Anyway, I meant what I said ─ this will be a short post. Today is a bath day, so I am going to take care of that activity now and then get downstairs to watch whatever is still going on in Ottawa.
