πŸ’€☠πŸ’€☠πŸ’€☠ Hearts Are Breaking

What worth am I? More on that later.

Early last evening I got to watch the 1993 movie Bodies, Rest & Motion. I tuned it in because of my attraction for actress Alicia Witt, who only appeared quite briefly into the second half of the movie, and who looked much like a very young teen even though she was likely at least 17 years old.

Her role was rather strange ─ wearing a long dress or nightgown, she lived with her deaf grandfather in a house that one of the main characters (Nick, as played by Tim Roth) stopped at while in the midst of his abandonment of his girlfriend (Beth, as played by Bridget Fonda).

Nick's parents had lived in the house. He had not seem them in many years, and only stopped there on a whim.

He visited with the strange couple now resident in the former family home; and in going, the strange young teen seemed desperately to want him to remain with her, but could not quite come out and beg it of Nick.

Was she only lonely for someone she could actually talk to? Or was there something potentially sinister going on concerning the grandfather?

We were never to learn.

Alicia still had a young girl's near-chubbiness all around her mouth and on her cheeks, but it was apparent that her adult beauty was not far off in her future.

I wonder what I would have done if I had been a young man and somehow came upon the young lass that she played in this film?

I found the movie interesting enough, but its ending proved disappointing. Was Eric Stoltz's character ever to find the Beth (Bridget Fonda) whom he unthinkingly let drive away (with no clear destination), only to realize hours later that he should have tried harder for her? We are left with him driving a main highway at night, touring through motel parking lots in search of her car, hoping that he was following the correct track that she might have taken.

Obviously he would not long be able to sustain his search, for he had never before left the area where he and Beth had met just one day previously ─ he had lived there all of his life; and he only sustained himself as a house painter for a living, sometimes mowing lawns.

Phoebe Cates was interesting to watch. I know her name, but I would never have been able to identify her by sight. Bridget Fonda, though, is something else ─ I was very attracted to her as much as three decades and more ago, but she just seemed to drop out of sight.

How the seedy Tim Roth "Nick" character was able to have a relatively long sexual relationship with first Phoebe Cates' character, and then followed that up by having one with Bridget Fonda's Beth, did not make any sense to me.

By the way, despite not remembering which website I used to watch the movie (via our Android TV Box on T.V.), one working source is presently this one at WAT32.

My younger brother was not to show up last evening until long past 10 p.m. ─ more like 10:30 p.m. If I was not desirous of still being up for my wife's arrival home from her long day working at the Thai restaurant where she is employed, I would have retired for the night.

After he did get home, I attempted to find a working source for the second season of Jack Irish, but I was having no good luck with the first episode. I finally had to give up, hoping that I might find some source online through my computer.

Well, I seem to have done so. That second season is actually filed as the fourth season at this link at AllSeries.org, a Russian website. Unfortunately, there seemed no possibility of downloading any of the episodes, so I continued searching and was able to locate the series at this FMovies link.

I now have all six episodes downloaded onto a thumb or flash drive that I will in time transfer over to our Android TV Box so that we can watch them on T.V.

Note that the "Download in HD" feature at the website was a scam as far as I was concerned, but by using my Firefox browser, I got the video URL for each episode by scrolling through the "Page Info" option in the "Tools" menu. I simply copied the URL for each and pasted them into a new tab and then saved the video that resulted, downloading each into the thumb drive.

My wife did come home sensibly late last evening.

She had to work another full day today, and so she was up this morning shortly after 9:30 a.m. (the restaurant opens at 11 a.m., and is a fairly long drive from here).

My brother left to pick up his girlfriend Bev at 10 a.m. to drive her to work, and I only remembered after he had left that I had meant to go with him so that he could stop at the nearest government liquor store about two miles from here so that I could stock up on the strong (8% alcohol) malt that I seek to keep in stock.

Fortunately, I have sufficient to keep me until my next such opportunity on Monday.

After he was back home, we were to only watch two videos on T.V. ─ the first being an upload to Rumble yesterday on the A Warrior Calls channel; it well exceeded 1½ hours: The People Now Cometh.

Christopher James Pritchard always covers a lot in his videos ─ too much to detail. However, it does sound as if he is set to make some truly enormous advances at long last.

The second video was also uploaded to Rumble yesterday, this time by Vaccine Safety Research Foundation ─ the video was just over 1¾ hours in length (1:45:35): Full Episode #62: "Young Hearts Are Breaking" with Dr. Kirk Milhoan, MD, PhD.

Dr. Milhoan, MD, PhD, FACC, FAAP has a PhD in Cardiovascular Physiology and Pharmacology. His dissertation was on the mechanism of inflammation in myocardial ischemia. He and his wife, Dr. Kimberly Milhoan, started "For Hearts and Souls," a non-profit international organization to diagnose and treat children with heart defects across the globe. Dr. Milhoan, as the Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel South Maui, kept their doors open during the Covid lockdowns in early 2020 by providing food pantry services to the community 7 days a week. Kirk and Kim continue their medical outreach, including a Free Medical Clinic in Hawaii as well as numerous international pediatric cardiac missions.

Dang, Steve Kirsch's co-host Louisa Clary is an intensely beautiful woman!

My brother sought some bed rest before the video was done, but I played it through. I even went out to the backyard tool shed for some exercise, first weighing in at around 192 pounds dressed precisely as I would be for the pull-ups and chin-ups I would be engaging out there, continuing to match the (I believe) three previous sessions' repetitions: 4 - 2 - 3 - 2 - 2 - 2.

With the video and my exercising done, I was free to seek a nap.

But I did not. Can my wife's casino addiction be worse than my own peculiar weakness?

Whatever the case, I was not to have an afternoon nap. And because I wanted to post here ─ as well as in my private blog ─ I have left myself no time for a movie this evening.

All else I will report this day of light rain is that a shipment of The iCon Group products from Thailand that my wife has been awaiting arrived late in the morning or just into the noon hour today. I expect that this will be allure enough to bring her home this evening and break any temptation the casino near where she works might have.
