Following the relatively early publication of yesterday's post, my conduct thereafter gave notice ─ which I recognized ─ that my proper bedtime was unlikely. I would be sitting up at evening's end, as it proved, until possibly at least 3:30 a.m., if not nearer 4 a.m.
The only reason I did not complete the process of descent the first time was because mid-evening had arrived and I realized that I had best have a small supper before my brother showed up.
I barely gathered a few things together before he did show up, and so I only managed to turn on the T.V. as he was removing his footwear and jacket inside the front door.
Via our Android TV Box, our entertainment was to begin with an episode of Riverdale ─ season four's episode five ("Chapter Sixty-Two: Witness for the Prosecution").
Then it was time for The Graham Norton Show ─ a star-heavy episode 18 ("FULL Graham Norton Show 17/2/2023 Judi Dench, Hugh Jackman, Michael B Jordan, Eugene Levy, Paul Rudd") of season (or series) 30. I used YouTube for the source, and specifically the Sd Tv channel (see this link). Note that the episode also included singer Pink who performed late into the episode before joining the others.
Next came an episode of Yellowstone ─ season two's episode four ("Only Devils Left").
We finished our time watching T.V. with an episode of the 2001 / 2002 British sitcom Happiness ─ season two's episode one ("A Little Bit of Love"). The full two seasons of a dozen episodes are presently available on YouTube's BEAST channel ─ that specific episode (plus the 11 others that are all listed in the sidebar) are at this link.
My brother sensibly went to bed, but as explained before, I did not.
It has been a sorry day.
We had some rain overnight, and the day has remained overcast and oddly chilly after the lengthy string of hot, sunny days that we had experienced.
I had difficulty sleeping in this morning and almost decided to get up just after 7 a.m. However, I held off until nearer 8 a.m., actually rising just ahead of my brother.
When we got together a little while later for more T.V., around 9:10 a.m. I again put our Android TV Box to work and tuned in a nearly 1¾-hour (1:43:20) September 9, 2022, upload to Rumble's Cult Of The Medics channel: Cult Of The Medics - Chapter 6: MISSING PIECES.

We are gradually working our way through the series.
My brother wanted some bed rest before heading away for the day, so all else we watched was an 11-minute April 18 (2023) upload to Rumble's reallygraceful channel: Something Strange is Happening in Chicago.
Documenting all the strange happenings in Chicago as of late...just a coincidence or something more? You tell me.
Surrey where I live classifies itself as a city, but it is nothing even remotely as bad as a major true city. Nevertheless, I have wanted to live remotely in a rustic environment since I was maybe 14 years old.
Only debt and familial responsibilities / obligations are keeping me here. The former would never exist if I had not gotten married in 2005 and brought my wife here in 2006 from her native Thailand.
For someone like me, city life is corrosive and corrupting. I daresay I believe myself unlikely to survive it ─ I have grown too infirm. A liberating financial miracle must soon befall, or it will be too late for me ... if it already is not.
Yesterday I had hoped that I might get out this evening on a walk and shopping expedition, but my misbehaviour last night has left me too disheartened and discouraged to be facing the public. Instead, I will retire relatively early this evening and rise at 1:45 a.m. for a five-mile walk.
