Following an early afternoon nap, I spent 1½ or so hours sunning in the backyard. I took the time because I was unsure that I would be making much of a blog post due to how crippled my right hand is due to 'texter's thumb' from typing.
It was so severe that it affected my comfort in bed overnight; and when my younger brother left this morning to pick up his girlfriend Bev at 10 a.m. to drive her to work, I was unable to handle any exercise at all when I went out to the backyard tool shed. Even a single push-up was too painful to endure.
Right now, I am almost exclusively using my left hand's middle finger to type. To even type a capital letter, I resort to using the 'caps lock' key just to type a single letter.
Nevertheless, I will attempt to describe last evening and this morning.
As I awaited my younger brother's homecoming yesterday e'en following his daily socializing, I watched an episode of Cybill ─ I am now caught up to season two and episode four ("Cybill with an 'S'").
Then after my brother showed up, drunken as usual, I continued use of our Android TV Box and led us off with an episode of Big Little Lies. We have now progressed to and watched the fifth episode ("Once Bitten").
It is deeply annoying how damned much whispering and equally quiet conversation takes place in that series, yet music and sound effects blare forth without any warning.
Next was another short movie in the old British Edgar Wallace Mysteries series. As usual, I tuned in the feature ─ May 1963's The Rivals ─ at OK.ru (this was the link I used). Note that Wikipedia lists the feature as belonging to May 1964 in the Edgar Wallace Mysteries article linked to above.
My brother was not conscious for some of it. And when I next tuned in the second episode of season (or series) two of the old British series The Avengers ─ "Propellant 23" ─ my brother preferred unconsciousness over watching the cherished episode.

I was displeased that the lovely stewardess (as played by actress Justine Lord) got killed off by the sweet-talking murderer.

By the way, the actress (Katherine Woodville) ─ who played the role of a bar tender who was in love with a drunken "tout working for a seedy hotel" ─ was to eventually marry actor Patrick Macnee ("Steed") in real life.
Anyway, when the episode ended, my sodden brother was still passed out, so I turned off the T.V. and came upstairs, leaving him snoring in the darkened living room.
Only afterwards did it occur to me that I should have turned off the kitchen light and left him with total darkness, but by then he was stirring and soon enough came upstairs to his bedroom.
I have no idea how a man of 70 years can shamelessly display this sort of uncontrolled inebriation so damned consistently. I would feel humiliation.
Gosh, more and more I find myself losing control of my typing, and even incorporating my right hand. But even my left hand's thumb and some finger joints are suffering. I may well have to suspend blogging for an indeterminate period of time.
I don't know what else to do.

My brother never even watched a half hour of the next video, which I think is a documentary that we may already have watched ─ I still feel my eyes burn with emotion when I witness various scenes. Unacceptable Views is a work of love for the Truckers, Convoy participants and Freedom-loving Canadians. Having been cancelled myself and labelled a racist with zero proof, the convoy pulled me out of a very dark place. Working on this documentary the last 11 months has brought purpose back into my life and I’m so thankful for all of my new Freedom loving friends.
My evening is well upon me. Since I have an early a.m. walk planned that shall see me rising for it at 2 a.m., I will need to be getting to bed fairly early after it gets dark.
My brother can have his own company to pass out to ─ I have no intention of spending any time with him.
I will see how I fare with my nearly disabled right hand on that walk. If I find my thumb joint is still too sore ─ it feels as if it has been sprained ─ to allow me to engage any pull-ups and chin-ups, then these blog posts will have to face suspension until such time as I heal.
I cannot even clench a fist, let alone tightly grip something with which to protect myself. This is not permissible.
