I demurred last evening and remained home instead of leaving at 8 p.m. on a five-mile walk designed to allow me to do some grocery shopping at Save-On-Foods when I was about a mile from home during my return.
I could leave no later than 8 p.m., or I would fail to allow myself sufficient time to shop, since the store closes at 10 p.m.
The problem last evening was that at 8 p.m. it was still essentially broad daylight, and I abhor being abroad in the day ─ I need the cover of darkness. Perhaps if the day had been solidly overcast, it might have been gloomy enough at 8 p.m.
And so I had no choice but to get myself to bed ─ probably well ahead of 10:30 p.m. ─ with my cellphone alarm set for 2 a.m. to get me up for a five-mile walk.
When my alarm sounded, I felt more 'refreshed' than I have the previous couple of times I have risen at that hour. Nevertheless, it was still irritating to find that my eldest stepson was still up, probably watching movies or some such on a laptop or tablet. I hate having to sneak away.
It was 2:15 a.m. after I had locked the front door and was on my way. Note that I had weighed myself fully clothed and in my hikers: around 199 pounds.
When I came to the elementary school where I perform six sets of pull-ups and chin-ups in its playground, I was taken aback because there was a couple slowly walking in front of the school. This compelled me to seek the far side of the school, walking right around it to the opposite side where the playground I was seeking was located.
By then I could see the couple working their way down the street, having left the property.
I had my usual performance in repetitions ─ three in the first set, and two in the remaining five. Then as I headed for the street, in the darkness by the school's main front doors, I could hear a male voice talking quite loudly. I could hear no one else, so I suspect that he was using a cellphone.
But why the Hell are there so many adults hanging about at that time of night? The primary reason I go out then is to avoid people and to thereby experience privacy.
I recall nothing else worth mentioning. I had my plodding three-or-so-block jog at one point. There were several close encounters with rabbits, and shortly after my school experience I had heard a large owl hooting for some while. And of course, there were always frogs chorusing in the Green Timbers Urban Forest.
It was 4:07 a.m. when I was back outside the locked front door; the house was in darkness.
I suppose it must have been approaching 5:30 a.m. before I returned to bed where I was to sleep a little better than I usually do after these walks.
My morning began about three hours later, by which time my younger brother was downstairs watching T.V.
After I joined him, a little past 9 a.m. I put our Android TV Box to use. The first notable video that I tuned in had been uploaded very early today to Rumble's mariazeee channel, and was 57 minutes long: ZEROTIME: All Hail the Alphabet Councils, UN Groomer Takeover of Australia.
This week we delve into the plan to strip Australia of our power supply prematurely, leading to eventual impoverished smart cities in the name of "climate change," and the plot of local councils to transform their cities into UN pedophile promoting playgrounds.
ZEROTIME was born out of a desperate need for the truth in Aussie news. For too long, the mainstream media has been lying to the Australian people. Zeee Media commits to bringing you the truth every Wednesday night at 8PM, highlighting key issues the world is facing, how it affects our country and the dangers to our democracy.Website:

The second video only barely exceeded an hour (1:02:29), especially when it is taken into account that it ran black and silently for some time after it first began ─ it had been uploaded to BitChute's bluedemon218 channel on June 11, 2020: The Keddie Murders.
The Keddie murders are an unsolved 1981 quadruple homicide in Keddie, California, a rural resort town in the Sierra Nevada. The victims were Glenna Susan "Sue" Sharp (nΓ©e Davis; born March 29, 1945); her son, John Steven Sharp (born November 16, 1965); daughter Tina Lynn Sharp (born July 22, 1968); and John's friend, Dana Hall Wingate (born February 8, 1964).
The murders took place in Cabin 28 of the Keddie Resort during the late evening of April 11, 1981, or early the following morning, and the bodies of Sue, John, and Dana were found on the morning of April 12 by Sue's 14-year-old daughter, Sheila. Sue's two younger sons, Rick and Greg, as well as their friend Justin Smartt, were also in the house, but were unharmed. Tina was missing from the scene.
Tina remained a missing person until April 1984, when her skull and several other bones were recovered at Camp Eighteen, California, near Feather Falls in Butte County. Multiple leads and suspects were examined in the intervening years, though no charges were filed. Subsequent sheriffs in Plumas County would state that the initial investigation was disorganized and poorly conducted, resulting in the overlooking of crucial evidence. Several new leads have been announced in the 21st century, including the discovery of a hammer in a pond in 2016, as well as announcements regarding the discovery of new DNA evidence.
This was very interesting! Nor can I claim to have ever heard about the event, even though I was 31 years old at the time.
The last show I tuned in was an episode of Inside No. 9 ─ this time it was the second episode ("Simon Says") of season six.
It was actually quite ridiculous. Without bothering to describe the episode, I will just say that the victimized main character had no reason to kill his tormentor nor obey him any further after witnessing him supposedly kill his co-conspirator with a sharp-ended heavy award statuette, for would not the supposed killer's bloody fingerprints have been all over that statuette after being used to twice gore the co-conspirator's abdomen with most gruesome effect?
My brother sought some bed rest following that episode, but rose and left for the day before I had yet gotten to bed for my early afternoon nap.
The afternoon was very sunny, so following my nap I donned shorts and ─ beginning at 3:13 p.m. ─ commenced an hour and 20 minutes of sunning out in the backyard. I needed to, for we are now due some damp weather for at least the next four days.
Well, my early evening is upon me, so I wish to get some exercising out of the way. I will be sitting up late this evening and will watch some shows with my brother once he is back later this evening.
Today was supposed to be the first bi-weekly mortgage payment in the new two-year contract I managed to arrange with the concerned bank, but nothing has been debited from my chequing account.
It would be nice if these payments were more reliably taken. I could better plan other financial obligations.
