My bedtime was somewhere around 10 p.m. last evening, and my cellphone alarm was set for 1:45 a.m. to get me up to prepare for a five-mile walk. Actually, it is possible that I got to bed around 9:45 p.m.
When my alarm sounded ─ it is a rather pleasant bit of melody ─ I did not have too much reluctance to rise. And with the house in darkness, I was able to ready in privacy and was outside the locked front door and on my way no later than 2:14 a.m.
I had weighed myself fully clothed for the walk, and registered approximately 198 pounds. I like having an idea on what I am working with when I stop early into the walk at an elementary school playground for six sets of pull-ups.
I managed four repetitions in the first set, and two repetitions in the succeeding five sets, although the last two sets were not honestly complete ─ the second repetition in each was most faulted. However, the very last repetition was held for a 10-count at its maximum elevation as atonement.
There was a fairly pleasant coolness to the night air, and the sky seemed fairly clear. I never attempted any jogging ─ I am holding off until such time as I have a decent pair of running shoes, and not just my worn hikers.
At one point I sighted two raccoons cavorting, until they noticed me approaching. They then disappeared into some woods thereabouts ─ specifically, almost directly across from where Whalley Boulevard terminates at Fraser Highway (Google Map).
I was back home and outside the locked front door by 4:11 a.m., I believe it was. I unlocked the door, but I stayed outside for over a half hour to water front yard garden plants.
My eldest stepson evidently had to work today (6 a.m. till 6 p.m.), so he rose just after I managed to get upstairs ─ I was into my bedroom with the door closed before he came upstairs to use the bathroom. I saw no need for communication, and I am confident that the 28-year-old appreciated not having any society at that point in his day.
I did not get back to bed until at least 5:30 a.m., I would say. By then I saw that the sky was overcast.
My morning likely did not commence until a little past 9 a.m. My younger brother was of course up, but I did not venture downstairs until after 9:30 a.m. He would be leaving anon to pick up his girlfriend Bev at 10 a.m. to drive her to work, so I felt no urgency to be putting our Android TV Box into action to play anything on T.V. ─ not until he was back.
Note that I discovered my lower inner thigh ─ almost at the underside of my thigh ─ to have incurred at least three itching bites; and the inside of my upper left arm also has a bite. I can only assume that something has found its way into my bed, for I doubt that a mosquito preyed upon me.
I just bloody hope that my brother nor either of my two stepsons has managed to bring home any bedbugs that have begun migrating through the house. Perhaps there will be nothing more to say on the topic ─ time will soon enough tell.
When we did start watching T.V., I led us off with a nigh 40-minute upload to YouTube's ENDEVR channel three days ago: The World's Most Enduring Conflict: Meet the People of Israel and Palestine | ENDEVR Documentary.
This documentary tells the stories of Jews and Arabs, Israelis and Palestinians, caught trapped in a disputed land. But it also tells of those seeking an accommodation with each other, ways to share this land, ways to end the violence, and the endless cycle of accusation and recrimination.
There was only to be one further video, for my brother announced at 11:30 a.m. that he was seeking be rest because he intended to leave especially early today for his socializing.
So I tuned in a 26-minute uploaded two days ago to Rumble's Action4Canada channel: Weekly Update: May 24th with Tanya Gaw.
Poor Tanya ─ she seems especially embattled.
I am undergoing a Sabbath fast, incidentally. Consequently I was not at all averse to seeking my usual early afternoon nap especially early ─ I think that I was back to bed ahead of noon.
I napped well, and my brother left for the day meantime. The day had become sunny, so by 1:42 p.m. I was out in the backyard sunning for probably something in excess of 1½ hours.
I will not be ingesting any calories until around 9:15 p.m. at earliest, but I will nonetheless be sitting up late this evening watching some T.V. with my brother once he eventually shows up.
I wish that this was not my life ─ it was never supposed to be like this.
