As projected in yesterday's post, I did venture forth into the latter evening ─ maybe around 9:10 p.m. ─ to do some grocery shopping at the nearest Real Canadian Superstore, a 5.625-mile round trip hike.
It was bloody warm out! Just over halfway home, and I was becoming concerned about my ability to withstand the dehydration. Had the store sold wine (it does not sell alcohol of any kind, apart from cooking wine), I would have bought a bottle.
It was maybe 11:35 p.m. by the time I was back home, and my younger brother was still up and conscious, watching T.V. Despite the late hour, I fetched two cans of the strong (8% alcohol) malt that I keep in stock, and I joined him.
He called it a night around 12:15 a.m., but I sat up to finish my brews. In doing so, I tuned in a women's MMA match on YouTube ─ I cannot recall who the fighters were, but it was a 'bare knuckle' match.
When it was done, I could have stopped there, but I saw that the next video that had been cued was to be a profile of Thai fighter Stamp Fairtex ─ a dynamite cutie I have only become aware of in the past 10 days, but who overwhelms me.
If I am remembering correctly, the video must have been this 23-minute upload from January 18: Stamp Fairtex Behind The Fight: ONE Fight Night 6. The little beauty is so playful and fun ─ yet so devastating in the arena.
She makes me miss Thailand.
Anyway, my brother had mentioned that he had a noon dental appointment scheduled for today, but I entirely forgot about it until he announced that he was quitting our morning T.V.-watching to begin readying to leave. Fortunately, we had just finished watching something, so nothing was lost in that context.

Sure, I know that this is 'old news', but there is lots of truly interesting information in this series. So until my brother finally figures out just how old they really are, I will keep adding subsequent episodes.
Such a hot day!
Despite the two malts just ahead of my bedtime last night ─ and those were my supper, for I had only eaten a midday meal ─ the latter few hours of my night were poorly slept.
Whether it is true or not, I see online the claim that it is 29.3º Celsius here (or somewhere) in my Surrey early into the evening. But I sunned this afternoon following an early afternoon nap, getting started on the 1½ or so hours shortly before 2 p.m.
It sure would be nice to not have a limited beer supply! If I had some 'regular strength' beers, I would have a few icing up in the fridge freezer / icebox; but I only have those strong malts, and I ration them ─ two an evening at most.
That will be later, however. I have a movie planned to start my brother and I off once he finally shows up following his socializing. But more on that tomorrow!
