B.C.'s Armageddon Fires

Blogging consumes far, far too much of my afternoon and ─ too often ─ my early evening. I badly wanted some rest before leaving mid-evening yesterday on what turned out to be at least a 5.75-mile round trip hike to do some grocery shopping at the nearest Real Canadian Superstore. However, it was already well past 8 p.m. before I finally got yesterday's post published.

I did not know if it was going to prove effective, but I dressed for the venture, and then I took a can of strong (8% alcohol) malt and tuned in a women's MMA match on YouTube that I watched on T.V. via our Android TV Box.

The video was 20 minutes, and the fight originally took place on May 11 of last year: Full Fight | Alyssa Linduska IMPRESSES in INVICTA and PRO DEBUT against Chieng | Invicta FC 47.

Due to my distraction over the enormous project looming before me, I do not recall much about the match. What I do remember, though, is that I did not expect Alyssa Linduska to have the dominance that she did over Jennifer Chieng when the fight went to the mat.

Anyway, I was feeling that malt, for it was the only supper I had to that point. And although I now do not recall precisely when I left here, it must have been around 9 p.m. ─ all was nicely dark by then.

There is considerable evening street construction going on in the eastern Whalley area, such that even pedestrians are impacted.

The level of inebriation that malt induced was welcome enough, but well before I got to the store (which closes at 11 p.m.) I was feeling rather bagged (drained) ─ alcohol is not an ideal fuel for extended physical endeavours. Even so, I quite wished that I had brought a can or two of the malt that I could have stowed away somewhere and indulged in on that return hike.

Nevertheless, I got to the store and did my shopping, blowing something over $108, I believe (I had to withdraw money from an ATM on the way there). And then I endured the decidedly arduous trek back home with two fairly heavy loads in tote bags that proved challenging. Had I a can of brew hidden somewhere to drink, it would have afforded me a welcome break from that walk.

It was around 11:30 p.m. once I was back, and strangely my younger brother was still not home from his daily socializing. So I quickly fixed up a most nutritious supper, but he was home before I had completed the task.

I felt politely bound to sit and eat in the living room with him when he turned on the T.V., but he never lasted 10 minutes after he sat down ─ he passed out, and remained so until I finished my meal and had gone upstairs to my bedroom.

It must have been at least 12:30 a.m. by the time I was set for bed, and that seemed to be about when I could hear my brother finally stirring downstairs. I wondered if he even remembered that I had been there with him ─ he was pretty drunk.

By the way, my wife had gotten home after working the day, but she had already retired for the night.

Beat as I was, after getting to sleep, around 5:30 a.m. I was so awake again that I rose and spent about an hour here at my computer. I was thereafter to manage a little further sleep, and rose for the morning around 8:15 - 8:20 a.m., I suppose.

I was a little surprised that my wife was soon up. My brother was later, and never went downstairs to watch T.V. until a couple or so minutes before 9 a.m.

I quickly enough joined him; and at his invitation put our Android TV Box to work.

The first video we were to watch was short ─ nine minutes ─ and had been added yesterday to Rumble's AKStraightSpeaks channel: BC Burns but why would authorities light a backburn in Shuswap?

We next watched Laura-Lynn Tyler Thompson's video that I believe may have been added just today to Rumble ─ but since Rumble is presently preventing all searches at its platform, I am going to link to a BitChute source: Laura-Lynn Tyler Thompson BC’s Armageddon Fires & The Next Pandemic With Andrew Kaufman.

Dr. Andrew Kaufman joins us to talk about the renewed calls for mandates and mask wearing because of a new ‘scary’ covid variant that has been loosed upon the land.
The people in the interior of BC are facing catastrophic losses due to massive forest fires. We will talk to Kyle Cardinal and some homeowners about what is happening on the ground there.

The video was not too many minutes short of an hour.

Then it was three very short videos at Rumble's Sunfellow on Covid-19 channel.

Changing viewing themes, the last video we watched was just over two/thirds of a movie I had previously downloaded onto a flash or thumb drive. However, we still had nearly a half hour to go because the movie had crossed into the noon hour, and my brother wanted some bed rest before taking off again to socialize for the day. As a result, I will save identifying the movie until we have finished watching it.

The sky has been primarily overcast today, so I have not been tempted to do any sunning. I had my usual early afternoon nap after my brother left. My wife went out in the latter morning, but she was back well before, and has remained here since.

For a change, I am going to consider this post complete extremely early in an evening!
