It is already approaching 8:30 p.m., so I must be brief ─ I plan an early a.m. hike that will require me to rise at 1:45 a.m. to prepare. At least my Titan Flashlight Stun Baton has arrived, so I now have that for some additional protection.

Anyway, I had an early a.m. walk last night, but I am going to feel a lot more confident tonight!
I have been busily engaged with E-mail correspondence with descendants of a brother of my father's first wife, so I have had little time for much else by way of 'leisure'. We are finding out so very much about our shared relative ─ the little girl that my father and his then-wife gave birth to.
The lass died shortly after her fourth birthday, and thus only lived from late 1941 to early 1945, but she is my paternal half-sister, as well as a full first cousin to the people I have been corresponding with.
I also sunned this afternoon for 72 minutes (minimally), and then spent time finally scouring out the bathtub ─ my wife is supposed to be arriving back in Canada this evening after having been away for almost a full half year.
Enough ─ I must have a quick bit of supper and be set to get to bed at the first sign of my younger brother's return home following his daily socializing ─ I do not want to be caught up with him this evening instead of sensibly getting to bed for that 1:45 a.m. rising.
