As predicted by me yesterday, there was no sign of my younger brother by 9 p.m., so I was clear to be getting to bed within the next hour or so in order to rise at 1:45 a.m. to ready for my planned five-mile walk.
But before forsaking evening T.V., I had taken the time to watch a women's MMA bout on YouTube ─ one of the joys of having an Android TV Box.
The bout was held on March 9, 2022, and the video itself ran for just under 22½ minutes: Milana Dudieva and Denise Gomes battle it out in Flyweight slugfest.
I was siding with Russian Milana Dudieva, who was a decade older (at 32 years) than up-comer Denise Gomes of Brazil.
My girl seemed to be getting accorded the first two rounds, but in the third Denise Gomes managed to overwhelm Milana at one point with such an unrelenting flurry of 'ground and pounding' that the referee called a halt in order to spare a protesting Milana, so Denise got the match.
I don't know if Milana could have weathered Denise's onslaught or not, but when the fight was called by the referee, Denise just rolled over to the mat and lay on her back from exhaustion.
Apparently Milana has not had a fight since then.
Anyway, I got to bed properly awhile later, and at 1:45 a.m. rose to my cellphone's chime to ready for my walk. Possibly because my eldest stepson was downstairs at the dining table watching videos or something on his tablet or smartphone, by the time I had sneaked off, it was probably 2:17 a.m.
I am always somewhat inhibited in readying and leaving if one of my stepsons are up, for my walks are my affair alone.
I had weighed myself fully dressed, but sans my lightweight black denim jacket, and I was easily 195 pounds. So this was what I had to work with early into my walk when I stopped at an elementary school playground for six sets of pull-ups and chin-ups (two overhand sets were followed by two underhand sets; the final two sets were on a pair of gymnastic-style rings suspended from chains). I achieved four repetitions in the first set, and then two in each of the others, holding the very final repetition at fullest elevation for a 10-count.
Fortunately there was nothing else of note concerning the walk that I care to mention, and I was back outside the locked front door by 4:11 a.m., I believe.
My eldest stepson had still not gone to bed, but I remained outside to water front yard garden plans for approximately half an hour, and he had retired by the time I was done.
It was likely after 5:30 a.m. before I at last got to bed; and my morning began around 9:10 a.m. when I realized that my brother was watching T.V.
When I put our Android TV Box to work, we were only to watch one video ─ it had been added to Rumble's Vaccine Safety Research Foundation channel two days ago: Full Episode #83: Prescription for Freedom: Battling Medical Totalitarianism.
Don’t miss Dr. Heather Gessling, MD and Dr. Kat Lindley, MD as they discuss the challenges faced by medical practitioners in providing sustainable, transparent, and patient-centered care amidst the burdensome mandates of the Medical Establishment. They’ll have a free-wheeling conversation that will also include the implications of the revealed harms of the Covid-19 vaccines on other vaccines on the CDC childhood schedule. Tune in on Thursday, June 29, for an enlightening and thought-provoking episode.
It was interesting enough once the two lady doctors were introduced, but until then I almost cancelled out of the episode in favour of two other videos I knew of and was interested in.
Maybe tomorrow, then.
I am undergoing a Sabbath fast, but today I decided that I would cheat a little and have some black unsweetened instant coffee. The usual depletion of vitality that I tend to undergo from not eating is quite bad enough, but adding caffeine withdrawal to the burden just seems excessive ─ especially since I believe that black coffee does enhance metabolism and facilitates in fat loss.
I find myself craving a large and meaty Camy's Pizza, but the day does not get dark until far too late. I would have to walk to the outlet about four blocks from here just to buy it ─ and walk home again, obviously (I do not drive) ─ by which time I would likely have my brother home from his daily socializing.
I do not intend to watch T.V. with him this evening because I plan an early grocery shopping expedition that will be incorporated into a five-mile walk tomorrow morning ─ I would like to be away comfortably ahead of 6 a.m., and would like to rise at 4 a.m. just to ease into the venture leisurely (including a large mug of coffee with the works).
Since I never had to eat a meal today before my early afternoon nap, I was back to bed before the noon hour expired; nor had my brother emerged from his bedroom following some bed rest to leave for the day.
I think that I may have been out in the backyard before 2:20 p.m. to sun, and if so I managed around 1½ hours.
I will close today's post by happily recording that yesterday my two stepsons transferred a contribution total of $2,300 towards the annual property taxes that are due in two days. That is more than half the bill, so my brother and I will each be able to share in paying the smaller remainder.
My concern, though, is that the lads will shirk with the biweekly mortgage and I am therefore going to have to bear that brunt for this next due payment if I am correct.
